Ambassadors

We have ambassadors from our headline sponsors Haven, and the charity SportsAid who support young Olympic athletes, some of whom will be joining you on race day. They will give you top tips before you start, cheer you on during the run and welcome you home afterwards.

Around 90% of Britain’s Olympic heroes have been supported by SportsAid – these include Tom Daley (diver), Amir Khan (boxer), Sir Steve Redgrave (rower), James Cracknell (rower), Dame Kelly Holmes (sprinter) and Victoria Pendleton (cyclist).

We are very happy that Pulse3k has such brilliant and diverse ambassadors this year – we hope they will inspire you to get fit for your sport too!

Gymnastics has given me so many experiences I could never have hoped to have had. I have travelled to so many different countries, learnt about so many different cultures and countries, and made so many unforgettable friends. Although it is very hard to commit yourself every day to a training regime, I love the sport. Good luck to you all in your Pulse3K run.

I would always want to encourage young children to get involved in sport. I started training at my local club in Canterbury and now compete internationally. I love gymnastics, and apart from getting fit it’s a great way to build confidence and meet more people.

Fencing is a wonderful sport that combines both mental and physical challenges. I believe in striving to do my best – whether at school or in sport – and recognise that cross training is important for overall fitness and performance.

I play in the Great Britain deaf football team and regularly run to make sure I’m as fit as possible for my sport. Why not get fit for your sport by entering the Pulse3K in October – having something to train for will really motivate you over the summer holidays.

I am delighted to be supporting the Pulse3K race. Encouraging young people to be active from an early age is hugely important to ensure future health and sharp minds in and out of the classroom. Getting involved with Pulse3K is a terrific way to view running in a new and exciting way. The young runners will also get a t-shirt and medal on the day as well as making lots of new friends. Much fun will be had by all so sign up today!

Running is the basis of so many sports and we’re lucky to have so many parks in London to train in. I got my break in sport by being spotted running for a bus, so who knows, perhaps you might be spotted playing football or softball in a park!? The Pulse 3K run is a great way to give your training focus over the summer, so why not enter and persuade your friends too.
